Our aim is to create films which are uplifting as well as entertaining, with stories that captivate the minds and hearts of audiences with truth, beauty, integrity and compassion.
We seek to draw on the precious legacy of faith, dramatizing the lives of great men and women who have, by their example and witness, changed others and the world around them for good. We intend, through the medium of film, to bring insight, humour, love and dramatic power to bear on some of the greatest characters and stories in human history.
Our deep aspiration is that WovenKord will, in some small way, help to build an ‘ecology of hope’: the kind of environment in our culture and society where human hope can flourish and faith can endure.

Our aim is to create films which are uplifting as well as entertaining, with stories that captivate the minds and hearts of Wovenkord has a number of feature film projects on the slate, set in Scotland, England, France and China. Three of these projects are co-productions, with powerful screenplays already written and one is now in post-production. The latest project, unique to Wovenkord, is The Tartan Pimpernel with a screenplay by Murray Watts.

PEOPLE
Wovenkord was founded by Michael Scott, Paul Talkington and Murray Watts. The company is involved in a variety of film projects, including Power and Glory which was filmed in April and May 2026 and is now in post-production.
Michael Scott has over 35 years of business experience. Paul Talkington has been recording music for well over 30 years and has worked on around 400 major film and TV Projects. Murray Watts has written many plays for theatre and numerous screenplays for TV and film, including the screenplay for Power and Glory. His work as a writer has won him awards nationally and internationally.
